Meet Courtney Salzman
I’m Courtney “Court” Salzman, a certified flight instructor (CFI, CFII) based in the Reno–Tahoe area. My passion for aviation started early, flying right seat in my dad’s Cessna 182, and I began training out of Truckee Tahoe Airport in 2021.
Since then, I’ve turned that passion into a career, offering flight instruction with rental aircraft out of Reno-Tahoe International Airport (KRNO) and working with aircraft owners throughout the region.
My instruction is focused on real-world flying, shaped by extensive experience in mountainous terrain where strong judgment and solid fundamentals matter.
I work with new students, pilots pursuing instrument and commercial ratings, and those looking to stay current or sharpen their skills. My teaching style is structured but relaxed, and always tailored to how each student learns best.
Whether you want to fly for fun or build a career in aviation, my goal is to help you become a safe, confident pilot, and enjoy the journey along the way!
